On Saturday 9th March 2013 Figure Of Eight Racing returns to Incarace Motorsport at our Birmingham Wheels Raceway.

The Figure Of 8 Circuit will host the 1st round of the Cross Swords Series Championship Sponsored by Racequip featuring the 2ltr National Bangers.

Below is a reminder of the full details for drivers and fans about the 3 round series.

The Dates.

The series will be held over 3 rounds with 1 round at each Incarace track.

The dates of the rounds are:-

Saturday 9th March @ Birmingham Wheels Raceway – Round 1

Saturday 11th May @ Northampton International Raceway – Round 2

Monday 26th August @ Hednesford Hills Raceway – Series Grand Final

Series Format.

To qualify for the prize a driver must compete at ALL 3 rounds and achieve a minimum score of 85 points.

Points will be scored using the Man Of The Midlands scoring system.

Points: 106-92-79-67-56-46-37-29-22-16-11-7-4-2-1

The Heats & Finals will be scored upto 15th place and double points in the Final.

Each driver will receive attendance points as follows:-
o Race 1 Round:- 10 Points
o Race 2 Rounds:- 25 Points
o Race 3 Rounds:- 50 Points
o 85 Attendance Points can be accumulated in total if a driver races at all 3 rounds.

At Hednesford there will be 2 points scoring heats, a meeting final and then the Figure Of 8 Series Grand Final (non-points scoring).

All races (except the Figure Of 8 Series Grand Final) will be lined up and front row will be decided by a Public Incarace Draw to take place on the start line before each race.

The Figure Of 8 Series Grand Final Race will be lined up in overall top points scoring totals with pole position be awarded to the highest points scorer.

The winner of the Figure Of 8 Series is the 2ltr National Banger driver who crosses the finish line in 1st place in the Figure Of 8 Series Grand Final Race.

The Prize.

£500 prize fund:- 1st £250, 2nd £150 & 3rd £100
(Reminder! You MUST compete in all 3 rounds and achieve a minimum of 85 points to receive any of the top three prizes).

Winner is allowed to paint the revived crossed swords on their roof.

Additional.

All 3 rounds will still include the new increased prize money structure for National Bangers at Incarace including the £30 Best Entertainer awards.

The is a lot of speculation and hype over what will happen over the Figure Of 8 circuit this coming Saturday at Wheels and the only way to find out be there!
