It was a day of injuries at Norhampton on Bank Holiday Monday, but we are pleased to announce that all three drivers are OK.
The Mini Stox Final was stopped when Mark Cooper (108) clattered around the fence on turn 3 into the already stopped Liam Morris (165), with both lads requiring attention. Suspected fractured ankles was the initial prognosis, but we are happy to say that Mark Cooper has escaped with a couple of broken toes and Liam Morris with nothing more than severe bruising. We wish both drivers speedy and full recoveries and quick returns to racing.
We are also very pleased to announce that National Banger driver Mark Atkins (128) is perfectly OK after a very dramatic 'freak' accident in the Destruction Derby, where Mark's car was hit mid-air.
Mark has been left with a thumping headache, but it didnt stop him passing his HGV test yesterday, so congratulations to him on that one,
