Congratulations to all drivers, Staff and Officials for a superbly presented meeting at Northampton on Saturday evening (16th April)
I think that a lot of people considered this was going to be an average meeting with little at stake and, especially after one of the best weekends of racing just 6 days ago at Birmingham and Hednesford.
Once again it was proved that you don't always need a huge entry of cars to provide top class action - something that could not be denied by anyone present last night.
It was very unfortunate that the floodlight generator failed late last week and despite sterling efforts to trace some kind of electrical sensor problem we had to resort purely to manual floodlights - perhaps this may have provided that extra special quirk that seemed to explode the meeting over the two finals and Grand National events.
The F2's were entertaining as ever, but were for once overshadowed by their big brothers because the F1's seemed to be on another planet and gave the crowd so many things to remember, non other than the incredible end of meeting F1 Grand National.
Keep it up everyone - superb action!
