In accordance with the F2 Rule Book, the following criteria have been used to determine the qualifying drivers for the F2 European Championship race on Sunday.
The line-up for the Formula 2 European Championship will consist of the top 20 National points scorers on the July grading list who have booked to race before the deadline date of Thursday 25 July at 12 noon. From the remaining drivers, the top six points scorers from Saturday evening’s racing and the top ten overseas drivers will join those seeded drivers to give a grid of 36 cars.
So if you are a overseas driver get booked-in and don’t miss out on the opportunity to become the European Champion!!
The grid line-up will be determined by the usual public draw, held outside the pit office at 10 am on the Sunday.
Please note that, although the August 2019 grading list has been published, it is the July list that will be used to determine the seeded drivers as that is the grading list still current at the date of the meeting.
The top twenty drivers who have already applied for a booking are (in points order):
7 Gordon Moodie
606 Andrew Palmer
560 Luke Wrench
905 Rob Mitchell
788 Stephen Mallinson
995 Michael Lund
298 Jake Walker
618 Ben Lockwood
977 Dave Massey
55 Courtney Finnikin
183 Charlie Guinchard
768 Jack Thompson
12 Danny Ford
124 Ollie Skeels
101 Kelvyn Marshall
377 Daz Shaw
78 Henry King
184 Aaron Vaight
212 Jak Hall
26 Gary Ford
The above list is liable to change if bookings are received before the deadline date of 12 noon on Thursday 25 July from drivers towards the top of the July grading list.
After 12 noon on Thursday 25 July drivers are still welcome to apply for a booking, but they will have lost the opportunity of being seeded directly to the European Championship grid.
