Spedeworth / Incarace would like to make all drivers, staff and race fans aware that there are local road closures currently around the area of Birmingham Wheels Raceway.
Landor Street is currently closed between the A45 and the junction with the entrance to the raceway due to ongoing repairs to one of the railway bridges after a lorry strike. It is expected that Landor Street will be closed until the end of May.
Access to the raceway can be gained from Landor Street from the other direction (B4145) but we are recommending that until Landor Street re-opens the alternative entrance to Birmingham Wheels Raceway is to be via VENETIA ROAD which is at the other end of the site.
Sat Nav users can still us the postcode B8 1AD but please then enter Venetia Road for your destination. If you do not use a Sat Nav and are coming from the M6 Aston Expressway and the A45, continue pass the Landor Street turning to the ‘Big John’s Chip Shop’ island and take the first exit onto Garrison Lane. Continue on Garrison Lane and you will proceed over a bridge and then Venetia Road is the third turning on the left. Turn into Venetia Road and continue through the large red gates at the end of the road onto the raceway site. At this stage the road divides and we would ask for ALL traffic to please proceed straight on and NOT use the right-hand turn. Please follow the road down the hill where the road bears right and at the end of this road you will re-join with the main Landor Street entrance road. Please be aware that the Venetia Road gates are closed until the site opening time for each event so if you arrive early please wait at the gates.
Thank you.
