The penultimate round of I Factor Fast & Furious 2018 takes place this coming Sunday at Birmingham Wheels Raceway, 7th October in a 10-formula spectacular that starts at Midday with an incredible entry of 183 cars booked to race!
Those kinds of numbers demand special attention to detail to ensure a smooth-running event and the drivers and their teams play an important role in helping with this.
As noted earlier in the week, we will be opening the Pits at 9am and the Pit Office shortly afterwards – there will be a double-sided Pit Office system to speed up the process.
We are unable to fit all cars in the normal pit areas, so we have special permission to use th main car park. The Modstox have agreed via their Chairman to pit on the Car Park – We are using half of the main car park for this – the entry is on the left just before you would go up the main hill.
The arrangement for all other competitors is as follows:
Main Pit Area nearest the track
Junior Stoxkarts
Micro F2 Stock Cars
Ninja Karts
Stoxkarts
Upper Pit Area – Just past the holding area on the left
Grand Prix Midgets
Slick Cars
Top Pit Area – Adjacent to the Skating Area
Incarods
Mini Super Twos
ORCi Ministox
Please note that there is NO PRACTICE, paid or otherwise as there simply isn't enough time and we will not be able to do any favours for anyone allowing people to have a couple of laps here and a couple of laps there. Please do not arrive thinking that practice is an option.
We would encourage drivers though to arrive in plenty of time to sign in and also for scrutineering.
The drivers briefing will be at 11.30am where all drivers are required to attend.
It looks like being an excellent meeting on Sunday, but drivers can help tremendously by arriving promptly in the morning to allow all concerned to have sufficient time to organise a prompt start at midday.
