After the press release regarding the 2020 Zetec Rule Clarification on 1st September 2020 and following further investigation with more engine builders we are updating the clarification at time of writing and ongoing analysis will take place over the winter months.
The rule clarification on Zetec blocks as 3rd September 2020 is: -
The rule says the block may not be skimmed, this part of the rule is correct, but we are clarifying that the pistons must be a minimum of 10 thou down the bore at top dead centre.
