It is unfortunate that we must write this announcement to make everyone aware of the decision to cancel the 2020 Spedeweekend at Foxhall Heath Stadium, Ipswich which was scheduled to take place on the 4th & 5th July.

The decision has been made following the recent government guideline announcements and it is felt that based on these new rules to ease the lockdown of the country that at present it will not be right to run the event.

We have taken this decision now to give everyone time to cancel or alter their arrangements for the weekend.

Spedeweekend Hospitality:- Each year our hospitality marquees and suites are sold in advance for the Spedeweekend at Foxhall Heath Stadium. Following the cancellation of the event this year those of you who have already either paid the deposit or full amount now have two options available to you. Option 1, your payment will be secured and honoured for the next scheduled Spedeweekend once the date is announced and you will be provided with the first opportunity to accept or decline the booking. Option 2, a refund of your payment for the 2020 Spedeweekend can be issued to you. If you require a refund please be aware that this will also cancel your booking for the next Spedeweekend and you will have to create a new application which may result in you having to be placed on a waiting list. Please let us know which option you would like to do by emailing info@spedeworth.co.uk and quoting your name, address and hospitality number or by calling 01252 322920 (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm) and please have your details ready.

With regards to other race events and the rescheduling of any of the races or championships due to take place at the Spedeweekend, further announcements will follow once we as a company and the governing body the ORCi are provided with more information from the government on how to proceed.

Whilst this is not the announcement everyone was hoping for, we would ask that everyone be understanding with the decisions we have made.
