WE'RE BACK AT NORTHAMPTON!
There’s no place better to be than trackside on a Saturday, with a mix of Stock Car and Banger racing lighting up the Brafield venue - making for a great night out for the whole family.
What’s to come? The Back to Basic Bangers - who are racing in the ‘Bucket of Ducks Dash’ - are back at the venue, alongside the ground-shaking V8 Hotstox as well as the stars of oval racing in the future in the Junior Micro Stock Cars and Junior Stoxkarts.m
So, what is the ‘Bucket of Ducks Dash’? Each driver will attach a bucket with water and ducks to their car - and they have to keep as many as they can in the water whilst racing against a full field of competitors! Watch out for plenty of spinning, skidding and sliding from these MOT failures who always provide great action at the Northampton venue.
Moving on to the V8 Hotstox, standby to feel the ground shake as these V8-powered, custom-built Stock Cars thunder their way around the track. The formula use the traditional Stock Car grading system, so watch out for the more experienced drivers starting at the rear and battling their way to the front of the field, using the big steel bumpers to push competitors aside.
Speaking of Stock Car racing, it’s the Bone Builders-sponsored Junior Micra Stock Cars also take to the shale on Saturday. These armoured Nissan Micras are piloted by 11-15 year olds learning their craft before moving in to the adult classes. This doesn’t mean they don’t deliver fantastic thrills on track, though! Watch out for plenty of bumperwork and close racing from these youngsters.
Completing the lineup are the Junior Stoxkarts, racing in a standalone event away from their senior counterparts. These pocket-sized cars provide a more budget-friendly way of taking to the ovals - but that doesn’t mean that action takes a back seat! Expect close racing as these youngsters take to the track.
It’s set to be a great night out at the ever-developing Northamptonshire venue - with a new seated grandstand (additional charge applies) as well as new toilets and a new bar. The first race starts at 4:30pm - arrive well before this to avoid missing a thing…
