Featuring...
National Hot Rods, Championship of the World
Rob McDonald defends the National Hot Rods Championship of the World in the headline event of the 54th Spedeweekend, with the Scotsman looking to take the title for a sixth time.
A whole year of racing, hundreds of laps, and it's almost time for the talk to finish with the big race up first on Sunday.
McDonald faces tough competition from an entry packed with faces new and old - featuring a mix of Ginetta, Vauxhall, Mazda, Ford and Lotus machinery all looking to take the chequered flag after 75 laps of the Foxhall oval and join the illustrious Roll of Honour in the pinnacle of non-contact racing.
Look out for current National Champion #62 Ian Riordan from over the water, 2026 European Champion #252 James Robertson as well as a whole host of other hugely capable pilots of these jet fighters in a gymnasium.
These purpose-built speed machines are truly a sight when they’re stationary, and even more so at full tilt once they’re racing wheel-to-wheel on track - just milimetres apart.
Will it be someone for the first time, or will a previous winner be adding another to their name once again?
Sunday also sees the final running of the Nick Thomas Trophy
and the road to next year's gold already kicking off with the 2026/27 World Series Super Round 1.
2.0 Hot Rods, Championship of the World
Also racing for World Championship glory for Scotland is #529 Jason Secker in the 2.0 Hot Rods. This well-travelled driver certainly has made the most of showing off his gold roof - will he keep it after Spedeweekend? All eyes will be on this 35 lap race on Saturday night.
High speed racing, wheelarch-to-wheelarch battles and breathtaking action… Known around the Raceways as "2 Litres", they are one of the most competitive on the Spedeworth/Incarace circus: often resulting in sensational Hot Rod racing as these spaceframe hatchback cars' engines roar as they frantically race around the track.
1400cc Stock Cars, Supreme Championship
Strap yourself in and standby for the 1400cc Stock Cars, so often the stars of Spedeweekend! These armoured hatchbacks will be taking to the Foxhall stage - in fact finishing the Saturday night for the first time with the Supreme Championship up for grabs.
#137 Curtis Tebbenham defends the title on what is a busy weekend for the ever-popular driver who is also on duty in the Superstox and 1600cc Bangers.
3 graded order heats are in store before drivers take to the points-order grid final to conclude Spedeweekend Saturday.
These are battle-scarred warriors carrying heavy offensive and defensive steel armouring, where full contact racing is most definitely the name of the game: top action, big crashes and spectacular racing! Standby for one of the most high-octane formulas on the ovals with some true Stock Car racing!
NB: While we take all possible care in compiling this list we cannot be held responsible for the non-appearance of an individual driver!
