Spedeworth / Incarace are asking for drivers who are currently booked-in for the Superstox European Championship at Spedeweekend for their opinions on the following:-
The European Championship race will be the third race of the weekend (Saturday evening) following on from two reverse grid point scoring heats which shall both be run on the tarmac oval. Points scored in the two heats will set the grid for the European Championship with top point scorer on pole. The European Championship race weather permitting will be run on the shale oval.
The reason for this is the European Championship was scheduled to run on shale at Northampton International Shaleway but the meeting was cancelled due to the weather. By running the championship on the shale oval at Spedeweekend it is thought it will add some ‘spice’ to the event and make it a level playing field plus show which driver has got the skill to race the same car on both surfaces.
On Sunday it will be back to the tarmac oval for a heat race and the final race of the weekend for the Superstox being for the Eaton Family Trophy.
To re-emphasise, the above plan for the European Championship is based on weather permitting circumstances.
Any drivers who this suggestion applies to if you would like to comment please email info@spedeworth.co.uk with your thoughts.
Thank you.
