CIVIL WAR RE-SCHEDULED!
Due to the current weather conditions the Civil War event at Hednesford Hills Raceway is postponed.
The war will now take place on Sunday 25th January at Hednesford Hills Raceway – 1pm start time.
The raceway is currently under snow and the forecast over the next few days does not show temperatures rising enough to remove the snow to a sufficient degree to operate the event.
For those who have ordered e-tickets your orders will be automatically transferred to the new date. If you are unable to make the new date you have until 1pm on Wednesday 14th January to notify us by replying to your e-ticket email you have received requesting a refund.
The e-ticket system has now been updated for the re-scheduled event so if you wish to purchase tickets you can do so via the link below.
All driver race bookings will also be transferred to the new date automatically.
We thank everyone for your understanding with this postponement and look forward to you joining us for the re-scheduled war on Sunday 25th January!

Please find below details which will help everyone with parking for the event:-
• Please do NOT go to the raceway on Saturday or park overnight outside the venue. People doing this is causing major problems with the local residents. PLEASE DO NOT DO IT!
• The approach road will open at 7.30am to competitors and spectators. Please do NOT arrive before this time. Security WILL turn you away from the crossroad on the approach to the raceway.
• Stadium gates will open at 8am.
• Inside parking for the event is allocated on a first come, first serve basis and is chargeable at £10 per vehicle. Please note, this does not guarantee a track view spot.
• Parking is available on the common outside the raceway as usual free of charge.
• For this event three additional parking sites have been secured for use away from the raceway for race fans to park free of charge. Details for each site are as follows:-
o Kingsmead School, Kings Avenue, Hednesford, WS12 1DH
o Hednesford Town Football Club, Keys Park Road, Hednesford, WS12 2DZ
o Sunflex, Keys Park Rd, Hednesford, Cannock WS12 2FR
• Security will be located at these sites.
• A free Park & Ride scheme will operate from Hednesford Town Football Club and Kingsmead School sites to bring race fans to the event and also return you to the car parks afterwards.
• NEW FOR 2026 is a parking area at Sunflex which is located opposite Hednesford Town FC. Due to the location of Sunflex the park & ride will continue to operate from Hednesford Town FC which is less than a 2 minute walk from Sunflex car park so please park and walk to HTFC for the park & ride coaches.
• The additional car parks will open at 8.30am.
• The park and ride will also be available from this time supplied by P&D York Travel and our thanks go to them for their help with this event. If you are not planning to stay for the whole event we would recommend using these additional parking sites to avoid the queues at the raceway later on.
• Once the raceway car parks are full, please park at one of the above sites. DO NOT PARK ON THE LOCAL ROADS! Race fans parking on the local roads with no consideration to the local residents has caused serious issues for the raceway in the past and we have worked to build a positive relationship with the local community and do not need this to be put into jeopardy by people not respecting the local area. We have worked with Hednesford Town FC and Kingsmead School to provide additional parking facilities previously with huge success and we would like to thank them for their continued support towards the raceway.
• Do NOT park in the no parking cone areas or any area which may result in causing issues for the local residents & DO NOT PARK OPPOSITE KINGSMEAD SCHOOL. Parking opposite the school causes major issues for the park & ride coaches.
• Council Traffic Wardens & Security will be patrolling the local roads surrounding the raceway and any cars parked irresponsibly will be subject to the appropriate action required.
• Finally, please can we ask everyone to park considerably and please do not park where you may inconvenience others or risk the future of the raceway.

Civil War 26 Update
Civil War roars into Hednesford Hills Raceway on Sunday 11th January at 1pm and over the Christmas period some updates have come to light as follows:-
• The Civil War battles will take place across Tanks (u2000c) and Infantry (u1600cc) divisions only.
• The Light Brigade division will be taking a break for the 2026 battle.
• Junior Bangers will be added as a support formula to the event, but will NOT feature as part of the war scoring system.
At time of writing Junior Banger bookings are available but are limited to 2025/26 Spedeworth registered drivers only.
Bookings can only be made online via www.spedeworthtickets.co.uk
Please Note:- New Junior Banger licence drivers who will require an ORCi Junior Competency test will not be considered for this event.

The venue: Hednesford Hills Raceway
Hednesford Hills Raceway is one of the most loved circuits in the UK when it comes to Stock Car, Hot Rod and Banger racing; and has over 60 years of motorsport history, with the speeds many cars achieve around its fearsome banked turns really having to be seen to be believed!
There really is nothing like an afternoon at the Raceway, standby for high-octane, thrill-packed racing from different classes of racing - with something for the whole family. Bring the kids - and big kids - for extreme entertainment like nothing else.
Get up-close-and-personal and see the whole track in front of you, meaning you can follow your favourite driver as they frantically race around the tarmac oval.
Thrills and spills are part and parcel of oval motorsport, and the track has held countless races since it’s opening in the mid-20th Century, with thousands of people experiencing the world of oval motorsport. Since the 1950s, Hednesford has provided stunning racing and great entertainment from Stock Cars, Hot Rods and Bangers in equal measure with a huge variety of other attractions in between.
The circuit was built in 1952 utilising the site of a former reservoir. The track is a full quarter mile length oval, with two banked corners, and a tarmac track surface surrounded by an armco safety fence.
With the track built at the base of the reservoir, it has the advantage of being at the bottom of a large "bowl" and means that viewing is superb all around the track from its grass banks and two covered grandstands, it really is a great day out for all the family. The whole track is in front of your very eyes - so you won't miss any of the action.
The track is situated high on Cannock Chase just one mile from the town of Hednesford in Staffordshire, and is easily accessible from the M6, M6 Toll and A5.
