60 Years!

Join us this year as we celebrate 60 years of Hednesford Hills Raceway.

The celebrations will take place over several events as one meeting just wouldn’t be enough to showcase Hednesford in all it’s fine glory.

Three events have been highlighted on the calendar so far:-
• Monday 1st May featuring the Caravan Oval Destruction Derby, 2.0 Hot Rods, Bangers (Gold Rush) & BriSCA F1 Stock Cars. Caravan racing has provided huge entertainment for decades at the raceway alongside Banger racing which has sent more cars to the scrap yard in a blaze of glory than anyone could count. Hot Rod and Stock Car racing is also a key part of the last 60 years and many will remember the BriSCA F1 Stock Car World Finals which saw huge crowds and racing which had to be seen to be believed.
• Sunday 25th June brings the Annual Veterans Day to centre stage with the Unlimited Veteran National Bangers, Lightning Rods British Championship, National Ministox and of course the Classic Hot Rods who are competing for the Bill Morris English Open Championship. Bill Morris was the founder of Hednesford Raceway and without him we wouldn’t be here 60 years on!
• National Championship Weekend from Friday 4th August to Sunday 6th August. Completing the line-up comes the weekend where the National Hot Rods compete for the oldest championship title which is steeped in history. #17 Robert McDonald currently holds the title, can he defend it in the raceways 60th year? Lightning Rods, Stock Rods, Superstox & for the first time at the ¼ mile banked oval UK Barn Finds Historic Stock Cars complete the event.

Plenty of planning is going on behind the scenes to make this year a memorable one.
