A lovely sunny Sussex evening greets the drivers, 66 Dave Bettles leads the first race until being spun by 486 Bobby Pooley, and 69 David Imber then led but got a puncture with 3 to go, and 305 Billy Wood takes over to win.

Heat 2 - 305 Billy Wood, 486, 14, 556, 66, 7, 61, 225, 352, 661.

66 led again until he hit a parked car. 155 Sid Madgwick took over with 2 to go and with 7 and 305 right behind him. Onto the back straight on the last lap 305 superbly spun both out together for a brilliant win.

Final - 155 Sid Madgwick, 305 Billy Wood, 77 Steve Davies, 7, 556, 61, 66, 635, 245, 661.

69 hits the fence hard at the start of the Final, 14 Daniel Langley putting 225 into the pit gate. 155 took the lead and pulled away to win continuing his fine start in his foray into the adult formula. 556 fenced 305 to go 2nd. 305 fought back and did huge last bend lunge and steamed 556 into the wall and the parked 352 who had just hit the pit gate which now has a big dent in it!

Rookie Rods

Heat 1 - 211 Matt Abbott, 86, 217, 113, 174, 118, 212, 326, 506, 28.

19 Rookie Rods and 211 Matt Abbott did well to hold off a big train of cars to take the win. 382 Steven Turner getting black flagged for spinning 176 Andy Hedger. 144 Lee Evans blew a hose on the last lap and smashed into the pit gate on his own and ripped a strut out.

Heat 2 - 382 Steven Turner, 217, 211, 113, 246, 212, 86, 326, 174, 506.

382 cruises away for a clear win and going well. 174 spins 311 who was being blue flagged, 174 docked 2 places as is 113 Dave Crouch.

Final - 113 Dave Crouch, 382 Steven Turner, 212 John Smith, 217, 86, 118, 135, 246, 28, 144.

277 Chris Deeley leads the Final, 382 took over but 113 reeled him in, 382 went wide and 113 was through and away for the win.

Bangers

Heat 1 - 389 Louis Hazell, 51, 271, 131, 426, 194, 228, 106, 431, 198.

28 Bangers and a lively start with some good pile ups, 198 Ashley Rumary following in 995 Jason Bulow on the last bend, 389 Louis Hazell winning with team mate 106 riding shotgun behind him a lap down!

Heat 2 - 389 Louis Hazell, 228, 558, 106, 194, 450, 426, NOF.

22 cars for heat 2 and early reds for a wheel off, 250 blew up and asked to be hit with 120 obliging, 198 doing likewise to 120. 106 Darren Terry led and 426 nudged him wide to take the flag, but both had black crosses and both were docked so 389 won again.

535 Ryan Cunningham takes on The Dreamers single-handedly and it was a good battle! 426 Mark Pope fences 450 Simon Browne and 271 James Vockins takes the win to end another good night at Eastbourne!
