The Yarmouth season gets under way on Easter Sunday 31st March and we have the ‘Back to Basics’ Bangers on the schedule for their 2013 opener of the Peter Brown series. Just to remind drivers of the rules, Back to Basics means no Honda powered cars, seatbelt only to secure the front of the bonnet, with corner plates / straps allowed at the rear of the bonnet to a maximum of 1/8” thick. Doors can only be tied shut except for the driver’s door and plate which is as per the usual Banger rules.

Cars must run on a radiator which can be relocated anywhere within the engine bay, no contact is permitted within the first 3 laps of each race, and cars cannot be followed in or turned fencewards. The rest of the rules are as per the standard Banger specifications.

As an added incentive, the top 3 drivers in the track points after 27th August will qualify automatically for the Banger World Final at Ipswich on 19th October 2013, so let’s get the season off to a flyer!
