Following the announcement made by the government on Sunday 10th May 2020 further discussions have taken place regarding the running of the 2020 Spedeweekend at Foxhall Heath Stadium, Ipswich.

The government has outlined an exit strategy from the current lockdown situation however, this strategy is based on a long term plan and during this first phase it will become apparent whether the government will continue with easing restrictions or implementing them further.

As of Tuesday 12th May 2020 we have taken the decision as a company to wait until the end of May when the government will announce the next phase exiting lockdown based on the next three weeks before making any decision about the running of the 2020 Spedeweekend.

Whilst this may not be the answer everyone is wanting, we would ask for everyone to be understanding of the decision to wait before any further decisions are made.

Spedeweekend is one of the biggest events on the stock car calendar and any decision regarding this weekend cannot as a business be taken lightly.

With regards to other race events further announcements will follow once we as a company and the governing body the ORCi are provided with more information from the government on how to proceed.

Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to please follow the government guidelines, stay safe and together we will return stronger than before!
