TWO FEEL-GOOD FINAL WINS AT HHR! - Added 19/04/24
|
|
As the weekend is almost here, we're reflecting on last weekend at Hednesford Hills Raceway with two great stories from an all-Stock Car affair at the much-loved venue.
In the BriSCA F1 Stock Cars, #345 Jake Harrhy crossed the line first - after his father #45 Nigel did the same feat a few years ago at the venue, only to fail post-race scrutineering - a fantastic story which will be remembered for years to come. Harrhy stood on the podium with star of the future #295 Louis Goodwin and ever-present #175 Karl Hawkins.
Moving to the BriSCA F2 Stock Cars and it was #286 Kasey Jones who stunned the sizeable crowd with the successful last bend lunge on #581 Dan Fallows. Jones has been racing with INCARACE since his time in the Ninja Karts, and will certainly be one to watch in the future as he races alongside the formula's big names such as #183 Charlie Guinchard and #647 Chris Burgoyne who he shared the World Qualifier meeting final podium with.
Not forgetting the National Ministox on the first of multiple visits to the venue in 2024, who certainly delivered great racecraft as they always do.
We'd like to thank everyone for their support at the event, and hope to see you again for more racing throughout the year! Don't forget the double World Qualifier Weekend coming up at Mildenhall and Northampton for the BriSCA F1 + F2 Stock Cars next weekend.

TEBBZ TAKES THE 1300CC ENGLISH! - Added 19/04/24
|
|
The 1300cc Stock Cars were on fine form in their English Championship at Aldershot Raceway last Sunday with #137 'Tebbz' coming out on top in an epic last bend after #183 Ryan Jordan did his best to claim the title, putting the bumper in but not making it stick.
Coming back from 5th position in the last-minute caution - with some of the big names of the sport ahead - certainly led to a highly entertaining finish!
We look forward to more action from these armoured hatchbacks in the coming months!

ENGLISH CHAMPIONSHIP GLORY FOR SMITH - Added 19/04/24
|
|
In a fantastic night of Stock Rod racing, it was #212 John Smith who left the Ipswich venue being crowned English Champion.
It was #113 Dave Crouch who took the honours in Heat 1, with #212 Smith taking a fantastic victory in Heat 2, racing around the outside to the line and beating #556 Ryan Mayling by millimetres.
In the Final, pole-sitter #197 Max Bradburn took the early lead with a packed grid of cars chasing him down - with plenty of battling on the Foxhall track under the floodlights. A big moment between Bradburn and #447 Stuart Smyth into Turn 1 with 6 laps to go saw a black cross and docking for the #197 machine, meaning #212 John Smith is your Stock Rod 2024 English Champion.
Top 3: 212 John Smith, 447 Stuart Smyth, 197 Max Bradburn
