Few people leave this planet having made an impression or a difference. Les was such a person. He provided a platform for great sport, family fun and entertainment for all concerned with oval racing along with memories that will last forever. With Mavis in her furs and Les in his dinner jacket, dickie bow tie and spotless shoes they never once looked out of place among their heavily ironed, shale caked warriors.
Les Eaton - a man of his time. R.I.P. |

Not just a promoter of Stock Car Racing, but a great showman, gentleman and friend. Our memories go back to the Reading days, and of the Wimbledon Carnival meets especially the one with the space ship, and of course Aldershot on a Thursday night and the Ipswich Spedeweekends. Forward the years when we did the videos which included the video of Les talking about the very last ever Aldershot meet, so many memories, too many to mention here, it has been a privilege to have known Les & Mavis. R.I.P. Condolancies to Sue, Roy, Mark and thier families at this sad time. |
