The most modern cars race with the National Hot Rods, the historics and replicas with the Classic Hot Rods – but what about those in between?
This “open” Hot Rod category is eligible for any 8-valve or 16-valve Hot Rod to enter and gives owners of some older cars, such as 1990s and early 2000s National-spec machines, an extra arena in which to show off their machines.
With a number of these cars still in action in various domestic series around the country, and drivers willing to travel to compete, some very eclectic grids can be seen and they provide excellent full-bore Hot Rod action.
